RERC Directors help set course for wireless ICT development in Romania
Center co-directors Michael Jones and Helena Mitchell participated in the Executive Workshop, “Innovative Technologies Reshaping the Mobile Business,” convened June 22nd and 23rd in Constanta, Romania.
June 22, 2007: Center co-directors Michael Jones and Helena Mitchell were among a select group of professionals from the wireless industry invited to participate in the Executive Workshop, “Innovative Technologies Reshaping the Mobile Business,” convened June 22nd and 23rd in Constanta, Romania.* Sponsored by Andreia Saguna University in Constanta and the European Institute for Innovative Technologies, the Executive Workshop was intended to establish an agenda for innovative wireless information and communication technology (ICT) development in Romania, in preparation for major infrastructure investments planned by the European Union in one of its newest member nations.
Dr. Jones presented on Universal Design as a guiding philosophy to promote equitable access to wireless ICT while enhancing usability for all users. Dr. Mitchell co-chaired a panel discussion on the role of policy making in wireless ICT development. Additional participants in the Workshop included:
