Maribeth Gandy
Project Director, Building Research Capacity in Wireless Accessibility and Usability
Maribeth Gandy is a Research Scientist II with IMTC. She directs the education and training efforts for the Wireless (RERC). She began working at the Interactive Media Technology Center (IMTC) as an undergraduate in computer engineering. She continued on as a graduate research assistant while completing her Masters degree in computer science in 1999. Maribeth's interests include wearable and ubiquitous computing, computer vision, human-computer interaction, graphics, virtual environments, digital signal processing, and computer audio. She has worked on projects ranging from gesture recognition, to interactive music, to user evaluation studies. Currently, she is involved in developing projects for the Broadband Residential Laboratory or Aware Home.
