Project Team

Problem

  • All customers struggle with problems of usability in wireless products to some degree.
  • Wireless industry managers agree that user input from their customers with disabilities can improve product usability for all their customers.
  • An effective vehicle for gathering and sharing that input among customers and industry managers is needed.

Approach

  • Evaluation of a user-focused “test drive” approach to usability assessment of wireless products
  • Development with commercial collaborators of a web-based vehicle for sharing usability assessment findings
  • Assessment of response to usability data by customers and industry managers
  • Assessment of the effectiveness of input by customers with disabilities in improving the usability of wireless products and services
